Telefonica owner of O2 in the UK is currently deploying Microsoft Office 365 across 130,000 staff worldwide. The move will see staff in 24 countries taking email, web conferencing and the Yammer enterprise social media platform from Microsoft.
The company believe the move will reduce the costs involved with collaboration services by around 20%.
The initial deployments were made across Europe in April and will continue through to Latin America later this year. The introduction of Microsoft Translator also helps as it can be used within Yammer to translate conversations in to native languages.
