Property management company Blenheims has acquired three new companies over the last seven years and needed to consolidate the various IT systems so that all of the different offices run the same technology platforms. As the company’s strategic IT partner, HW Technology provided advice and practical support to manage the change and transition all the offices to a single standard IT platform.
Blenheims supports landlords, developers, investors and residential management companies with a range of services to maintain and manage their property portfolios. As well as managing renovations and repairs, Blenheims provides an online rent and service charge portal, to facilitate regular payments.
Many of Blenheims’ 80+ staff are home-based, and work on the move – from regional offices to client sites, so they need a reliable IT system to support flexible working practices and provide a robust, integrated, secure platform to maintain client data.
The IT Solution
Working with HW Technology as their strategic technology partner, Blenheims moved to a hosted desktop system so that staff can work remotely and still use a consistent IT platform.

The hosted desktop platform ensures that Blenheims use their standard property management process with minimal duplication of effort, and easy collaboration across offices. Blenheims use Microsoft Office applications as well as their property management and billing system. Using hosted desktop, updates are implemented quickly and easily, and seamlessly rolled out across all offices so that every employee uses the same version of the software. As a growing company, new employees can easily be added to the system and the firm does not have to be concerned with buying new software licences as people join the company.
Sensitive client data is stored securely on the hosted platform and backed up in HW Technology’s secure data centre. Maintaining the client data off-site adds another level of security – ensuring compliance with GDPR .
