Google has unveiled a new site which is dedicated to the latest news about the mobile web. GetMo will provide companies with all the information they need in order to know about all things mobile. The UK vendor for the GetMo initiative is Sayu Limited. The firm was chosen for their knowledge of mobile website technology which they developed through their own dedicated mobile platform SayuConnect.
There’s no avoiding the fact that everyone is embracing the mobile world, everyone owns either a smartphone or tablet. With this in mind businesses need to develop an effective strategy to access the opportunities that a mobile-optimised website will bring.
Speaking about the new site, Google’s director of mobile advertising for Europe Ian Carrington, said “As the smartphone explosion continues, more consumers are looking to engage with brands by searching for them on their mobile phone.”
“Businesses need to get mobile in order to provide a positive user experience for their customers. At the moment businesses are not keeping up with consumers.”
SayuConnect took a year to research and develop and can now deliver a mobile website which can be integrated into any existing website platform. The system will enable ecommerce and web publishing business to take full advantage of their sectors.
A similar initiative named GoMo has already been successfully launched in the US.
