Apple released iOS 6 beta 3 to developers today, just three weeks after it released beta 2, could this mean that Apple are getting closer to releasing its next generation mobile OS.
According to rumors, a key difference in iOS 6 beta 3 is the addition of a new section in the Settings app for Maps “allowing users to change the volume of the navigation voice, set distances to display in miles or kilometers, set map labels to display either in the local language or always in English, and set map label sizes to either “normal” or “large”.”
Other changes include:
•New icons in the Mail app for Junk, Trash, and Archive
•iMessage on iPad Now Gives Option to Add Phone Number for Unified Messaging
•Many More Cities Have 3D Models in Maps
•4th Gen iPod Touch Now Has VIP Inbox
iOS 6 is due to launch “this fall” most likely to coincide with the release of the iPhone 5 hardware in September/October. If you can’t wait until then you can sign up to be an Apple developer and get access to the iOS 6 betas today.
