Apple is asking iTunes users to set up three security questions before downloading new content in a bid to improve account safety. Both iOS and desktop users are being prompted by Apple when they attempt to download movies and music from iTunes or apps from the App Store.

An extra measure of security is being implemented for iTunes users as they are also being asked to register a back-up email address which must verify the new information when the process is completed.

Although these new security will assist with account safety and no doubt lessen the chances of account hacking, some users have been left confused by the pop-ups believing they may be an attempt at phishing.
