Apple has knocked Coca-Cola off top spot in the Interbrand study of global brands this year. It is the first time in 13 years Coca-Cola haven’t been top. Google have also leapt ahead of Coca-Cola into second place. IBM is in 4th place meaning that 3 of the top 4 world wide brands are from the Tech sector, who said Tech wasn’t popular!
Microsoft and Samsung are also in the top 10 lying in 5th and 8th place respectively. The study looks at a companies financial performance as well as customer purchasing influence. Apple have come on top even though they charge a premium for their products.
